Marsh - Dinosaurs of North America

The basis for this poster is public domain / out of copyright material. Specifically, it uses plate drawings from the 1806 US Geological Survey work, The Dinosaurs of North America Volume 16.

I particularly love this body of work, but only had access to Volume 16. My research has yet to lead me to the rest of the volumes, and if you (dear reader) know where I might acquire them in physical or digital format, I would love access. I'm a trained archivist, and would cheerfully consider photographing materials on site if that's possible, recognizing the odds that anything of this age leaving its storage site are low.

That said, If you have OOC material you want images extracted from, please feel free to contact me for pricing on extraction, cleaup, conversion, and so on. Do be ready to demonstrate that your material is out of copyright both in the USA and, if you're not in the United States, in your nation of origin.

While I'm enabling prints, I've alos included the full size graphic - 27 megabytes as .png - for your downloading convenience should you wish to download it and print it yourself. Be aware that the minimum comfortable viewing width on this is likely at least 15 inches.

The vac adores out of copyright books. They're very often superior in quality to modern materials, contain knowledge often forgotten - and once in a while have some lovely imagery that might be salvaged.
